Children are capable of incredible things. They learn to walk and talk simply by observing the people around them mixed with a lot of trial and error. Dr. Shinichi Suzuki applied this knowledge to music education in the 1940's and launched a new approach to early childhood education.
I have spent the past 14 years exploring music development in young children, inspired by the work of Dr. Suzuki, Edwin Gordon and more. In 2009, I completed a long-term training program in Talent Education at the School for Strings in NYC with Pamela Devenport. I've continued training with Tanya Carey, Sally Gross, Carey Beth Hockett, Rick Mooney, Carey Chenney and Winifred Crock. I am honored to be the newest Teacher Trainer for the Suzuki Association of the Americas, I hope you'll join me in a future training!

In addition, I am in demand as a Music Together Instructor, leading classes for Mixed Ages, Babies, Big Kids and Pre-Schools. I was awarded Music Together Certification Level II status, "having demonstrated outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education". The award was granted by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ, Kenneth K. Guilmartin, Found/Director.
Lessons are engaging and fun, tailored to the needs of each individual. For more information about the schools I teach through please click on the links below, and for private instruction feel free to contact me directly.
